Safe Ride in the Advocate Clicktight by Britax- Review +Car Seat Guide

Parenthood brings forth so many feelings and questions that we never thought we would endure, it brings you happiness and fear both at the same time. As we feel we start to get the hang of this thing called being a parent and we feel like baby gear pros the market goes changing on us. Back when I had my first I had so much to learn about car seat safety, all about the gear that would make my son happy and of course how to use everything properly according to safety regulations. Then my second baby came and I felt like a car seat pro, and bam the car seat market changed and so did the safety tips. Three babies later the laws and safety restrictions changed yet again. What I found was important that I was able to roll over with all three children regardless to the changes was finding a car seat that would pass all these regulations and would make me feel like my children were safe in the car.
Finding the right car seat can be difficult with how many are on the market and really depends on  your child's needs, and your budget. However when you do find the right car seat your mind will be at ease knowing your child is safe sitting in the back seat. I have found that convertible seats work best for my family and in fact they are my go to when suggesting a car seat to new parents. Why convertible? ONE TIME BUY, ONE CAR SEAT for the entire time your child is in a car seat. Just one convertible car seat will go from new born to big kid (Yes big kids still go in car seats like my 7 year old).
Once you've been convinced to skip the infant seat and go with the convertible car seat it comes down to which one to buy. Almost all of the trusted car seat brands out there offer one that goes from infant to childhood which can make it quite confusing as to which one is best for your baby, There are a few things you will need to ask yourself and do research on

1) What are the laws in your state? Some states require a longer period of time where your little one is rear facing and recently many states have extended it to age 2 where others have left it at age 1 as of Jan 2016. Many states also require that your child is in a car seat until the age of 4

2) How long do you want to rear face? Regardless to law so choose to extend the highly suggested rear facing time for their child's safety. Some car seats are designed for this like the Advocate Clicktight Advocate by Britax which goes up to 40 pounds for rear facing (my 7 year old could technically still sit facing the back in this car seat)

3) How long will your child be in a car seat? This may sound like a silly question but it is one you should ask yourself. Some people are happy taking their kids out of a car seat once the law no longer requires one and then there are people like me who have decided to go more based on height and weight.

Once you have asked yourself all these questions it may take some homework finding the one that matches all your wants/ needs when it comes to your child's safety.
